Abstract
957,828. Capacitors. KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKO RADIO COIL KANKYUSHO. Oct. 23, 1962 [Nov. 7, 1961], No. 40127/62. Heading H1M. [Also in Division F2] A two-gang variable capacitor comprises a rotatable shaft 4 with two stators S consisting of ceramic plates 2 having one or more electrodes bonded to the inner surfaces thereof and supported by members 3 of said plates, the stators being symmetrically and coaxially disposed about the shaft with rotors R carrying opposite electrodes 5 adjustably fixed to the shaft for rotation in slidng control with the outer surfaces of plates 2. A spring 6 (Fig. 3), with radial leaves alternately extending in opposite directions is interposed between the stators to press them against their respective rotors, and bearing plates 7 are bonded to the inner sides of the members 3 while bridges 9 fasten the rotors to the shaft. The stator electrodes may be semi-circular of tapering form (Fig. 2).
