Abstract
957,201. Photo-electric spectrometers. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. Sept. 6, 1960 [Sept.12, 1959], No.30706/60. Addition to 912,882. Heading G1A. This invention relates to a modification of the detector arrangements used in the apparatus for spectro-chemical analysis described in the parent Specification. These detectors operate to actuate a relay when the integrated output of an associated photo-cell reaches a pre-determined level. In the present detector arrangement the output of the integrating means is fed to input 60 and a reference current of the required value to input 61. The difference between these signals is amplified and fed through limiter 149 to sensitive relay 150. This relay controls the bias applied to thyratron 151 which controls relay 57. When the inputs are different the contacts of the relay 57 are in their normally closed condition but when the integrated output reaches the reference level the contacts of relay 150 close to cause the thyratron to open the contacts of relay 57.
