A device for adjusting the height of an agricultural implement 1 pivoted about a mounting 2 on a machine frame comprises a bell-crank lever 7 connected by a link 5 to an arm 3 secured to the implement, a cable 9 for moving the lever 7, and means for locking and unlocking the lever comprising a pawl 15 pivoted at 14 to the lever and urged by a spring 19 into engagement with a sector rack 10 on the machine frame, the rack being formed with trip stops 11, 12 at its ends which respectively engage the pawl at opposite ends of its travel, so that when the lever 7 is moved to its extreme left position the pawl is pivoted by stop 11 away from the rack and held away by the spring 19 going over-centre, this allowing the lever to be moved freely to its extreme left position wherein the stop 12 pivots the pawl back into engagement with the rack.
