954,692. Slatted shutters; clamp fastenings. SCOTTISH ALUMINIUM WARE Ltd. Oct. 18, 1962 [Nov. 25, 1961], No. 42245/61. Headings E1J and E2B. [Also in Division F4] A shutter comprises aluminium slats 10 carrying two sets of pivot pins 11 in their longitudinal edge portions, with one set pivotally mounted between two fixed parallel bars 12 and the other set pivotally mounted between two parallel bars 13, which are controlled by a cord 18 via a grooved roller 17 mounted on one end of a leverÀ14. The lever 14 operates a link 16 to move the bars 13. The cord is gripped between an abutment 21 and an eccentric 22, and the fixed bars 12 may be hinged to a window frame. Two sets of slats may be arranged side-by-side, with a common rod 15, a central fixed bar and a central swinging bar and a lever 14 at each end, but only one lever having a roller 17 for the simultaneous operation of the two shutters.
