Abstract

A cleansing composition, particularly suitable for use on plastic surfaces such as refrigerator cabinets, comprises an aqueous mixture (suitably in paste form) of (a) a polyalkylene glycol wax, preferably 15-50% by weight of the composition of a polyethylene glycol wax of molecular weight 950-1050, and (b) a soft soap consisting of a potassium soap or of a sodium soap of fatty acids having less than 14 carbon atoms in the molecule, preferably in an amount of 2-15% by weight of the composition. 2-30% of a mild abrasive such as precipitated chalk or kaolin may also be included; fine pumice may be used instead of or in addition to such mild abrasive.
