952, 648. Optical-projection apparatus. L. PRAT, and E. BENEDIC. July 10,1961 [July 18, 1960], No. 24819/61. Addition to 899,326. Heading G2J. A modification in or improvement of the apparatus claimed in the parent Specification which apparatus includes means for selecting and projecting any one of a plurality of films, consists in associating with the apparatus a number of separate independent projection screens associated with optical means which allow projecting simultaneously on each of said screens the single film which is to be projected. In the embodiment shown (the Figure corresponds to Fig. 2 of the parent Specification), light from the projector 7 is divided into two beams by a beam-splitting mirror 102, the transmitted beam inpinging on a screen 103 and the reflected beam being directed by way of a mirror 104 on to a second screen 105. More than two screens may be provided. In a modification, a mirror rotating in step-by-step manner may be arranged to project each separate image of the film in succession on to each of a number of separate independent screens In a further modification, the arrangement may be such that a number of successive images of the film are simultaneously projected on to an equal number of separate independent screens, the images succeeding each other in their natural sequence on each screen.
