An insert 10 of flexible material, which may be paperboard folded along a line 11, holds a radio valve 17 or like article in a carton 16 by means of tongues 14, 15. Slits 12 and 13 form the tongues which grip the valve 17 when the insert is folded about the valve and inserted in the carton.
