Abstract
951,836. Anchors. K. R. FAIR. Dec. 28, 1961, No. 46474/61. Heading B7S. An anchor comprising a stock 10, flukes 11, 12 mounted at their bases on said stock and extending radially therefrom with coplanar surfaces terminating in pointed ends, the stock and flukes forming a unitary structure, a shank 13 pivotally connected at one end to the stock between the flukes, a closed slot 14 extending from adjacent the free end of the shank to a point above the centre of gravity of the anchor, a ring 15 freely and slidably mounted in the slot, an arcuately curved base 19 fixedly secured to the stock between the flukes and having a rounded bottom and spaced diverging side walls 20, 21 which terminate in an open end and embrace the connected end of the shank and limit the pivotal movement thereof, has a pair of spaced plates 22, 23 extending between the diverging walls 20, 21 fixedly secured to the stock 10 and to the opposed flanged edges 17, 18 of the flukes. The flange 17 of one fluke extends opposite to the flange 18 of the other fluke. Specification 570,950 is referred to.
