Abstract
951,200. Electric conductors. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 30, 1960 [July 3, 1959], No. 22938/60. Heading H1A. [Also in Division H2] A high current, high frequency conductor, for use, say, with an induction heating furnace, consists of T-shaped strips 1, 2, 3, 4 separated by a synthetic insulating material and stacked alternatively so that the ends of the stem part of the T-shape overlap the adjacent cross-pieces and are bent at right-angles and electrically connected to form a terminal surface at each end of the conduction. Both ends of the crosspieces are also bent at right angles, but in the opposite direction and are connected together at each end of the conductor by T-pieces 9, 10, which have sections 11 and 12, forming a second terminal, coplanar with the stem terminal, at each end of the conductor. The conductor may be formed of any number of strips whilst the terminals may be water cooled.
