Abstract
A fault correction arrangement for shelf based cards 2 in a data transmission system is disclosed in which each card includes a non volatile memory within which faults can be recorded. The non volatile memory is isolated from the remaining card circuitry so as to allow interrogation of the NVM if the remaining card circuitry is faulty. <IMAGE>
