A combined desk and drawing board unit has a frame 10 with legs 12, 14, a desk top 26 with main section 28 and rear hinged flaps 30 slidable into grooves 34 in frame legs 14 to an open position and a drawing board 40 normally stowed beneath top 26 but hinged by brackets 42 to be swingable upwardly to an inclined position of use where it is adjustably supported by a stay 52 having a cross-rod 56 engageable in notches 60 in frame and boards 18. In a modification, Fig. 4, desk top 26 is replaced by a roll-top 78 consisting of wooden strips covered by laminated plastic sheeting 80 and slidable in grooves 76 in the end boards.
