949,543. Time switches. CONTROLS CO. OF AMERICA. Feb. 24, 1960, No. 6498/60. Heading H2B. [Also in Division F2] In a timer similar to that of Specification 949,542, the cam drum 42 is driven at high speed by a separate high speed motor. To enable this to be done, the shaft of the high speed motor has pinions 74, 78 respectively engaging gears 56, 48 on high-speed and lowspeed cams 54, 50. The gear 48 is interrupted at 82 so that this drive ceases when the gear 48 and its cams 50 reach their starting point. The cam 54 idles on shaft 14 and carries a cam 60 which also oscillates the lever 16 to rotate the drum 42 rapidly, motor 64 being deenergized and the drive to shaft 80 disengaged when the drum starting position is reached.
