A railway wagon comprises an underframe 1, Figs. 1 and 2, and a body 3 having a floor divided transversely into two parts 6, the adjacent edges of which are connected by a hinge 7 movable vertically in guides 8 in the body side walls 5 so that the remote end edges of the two parts having rollers 9 are withdrawable away from the end walls 4 of the body, to expose discharge openings 10 for bulk material carried in the body, the latter being rotatable on a ring 11 on the underframe about a vertical axis into a position in which the ends 4 of the body face laterally from the underframe. The combined length of the parts 6 may be less than the length of the body between the end walls 4 and the discharge openings may have slides by means of which they may be independently closed.
