Abstract

948,828. Brackets. HARRIS & SHELDON (DISPLAY) Ltd. March 13, 1961 [March 12, 1960], No. 8813/60. Heading A4B. A bracket arm 4 having at least one downwardly directed hook 5 for engagement in vertically spaced slots 7 in an upright support has a releasable catch 8 for preventing upward movement of the bracket, the catch consisting of an arm 10 pivoted on a pin 11 passing through the bracket arm and having a finger 9 which enters at the top of an unoccupied slot. As shown in Fig. 2 the catch 8 has a cam 12 which engages a surface of the support. In further modifications the finger enters a slot already occupied by a hook, the catch is U-shape straddling the bracket arm, which may have a pair or pairs of laterally spaced hooks, and a cam member is provided at each side of one hook or of a pair of laterally spaced hooks.
