Abstract

948,811. Stands; racks. HALL & GOULDING Ltd. Aug. 18, 1960 [Aug. 18, 1959], No. 28182/59. Heading A4H. A stand for holding trays &c. comprises a base 1, uprights 2 at the rear of the base and a pair of spaced wires 6, extending between the uprights, a ledge-forming element 8 projecting from the lower wire to support the tray 11 in cantilever fashion with the rim 12 of the tray engaged beneath a forward and downward projection 7 fixed to the upper wire. As shown, two projections 7 are formed by the ends of a wire bent to form, also, the element 8 and welded to the wires 6. The uprights which also consist of bent wire members 5 are connected by welding to the wires 6 and are welded to the sides 3 of the base or are releasably connected thereto by anglebar sockets 20. A tray may also be supported on the base a bent wire 14 welded to the base 1 forming projections 15 which engage the rim of the tray to retain it.
