[Also in Division F2] A vibratory road roller is provided with a variable amplitude vibratory unit comprising pairs of eccentrically operating weights 33, 34 which are capable of angular displacement about axes transverse to a shaft 2 on which the roll shell is free to revolve. As shown a shaft 30 is rotatable in the shaft 2 and is provided with nuts having pins 22 which engage in slots in levers 23 which are attached to shafts 36 in which the weights 33, 34 are fixed. A squared end 17 is formed in the shaft so that it may be rotated to adjust the position of the weights.
