Abstract
942,051. Agricultural implements. MASSEY-FERGUSON Inc. March 19, 1960, No. 9823/60. Heading A1B. A reversible plough arranged to be coupled to the hitch linkage 30 of a tractor comprises a rotatable shaft 39 journalled in a tubular member 38 of a frame 35 connected to the hitch linkage of the tractor the shaft projecting from the tube at both ends and the rear end of the shaft being connected to a subframe 50 on which are mounted the plough bodies, the subframe 50 being connected to a bearing block 58 on the tube. The shaft 39 is rotated by means of sheave coupled to the shaft by means of a one-way clutch, a chain being wound round the sheave and connected to a lever 96 connected by a link 98 with a lever 95 connected to the upper link of the hitch linkage. The subframe 50 is held in position by a latch 75 which is unlocked by a bell crank lever 110 connected by an adjustable link 118 to a lever 115 which is moved by the upper link as the plough is raised.
