Abstract

940,421. Powder distributers. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. March 14, 1960 [March 13, 1959], No. 8917/60. Heading A1D. A powder distributer is provided with agitating means comprising a rod which carries removable agitators and is whirled about the rotational axis of a spreading member, the agitators being held against axial displacement by retaining means disposed at the upper end of the rod and comprising a ring held on the rod by means of a pin. As shown in Fig. 4 the end of the rod 10 is provided with a rectangular portion 33 which engages in a rectangular hole in a web portion 36 of blades 37, 40 freely rotatable on the shaft 39 of the spreading member. The bladed member is rotated with the spreading member by means of the tongue 42 on the spreading member which engages against the blade 40. Axial movement of the bladed member is prevented by a web 41 thereon which engages under the tongue 42. The agitators may be replaced by a spiral element.
