In a parquet flooring unit comprising lamellae 2 held in groups 1 by adhesive strips or inlaid material 13, the groups themselves may also, Fig. 18, be secured together by the strips, or, Fig. 17, are held by adhesively applied discs 5, so that the unit can be folded into two or more parts for transporting. The strips may be bonded along the joints between groups and are of paper, transparent material, synthetic plastics, or setting material. The inlaid material is confined to the areas between the folds and comprises inserted wooden rods or synthetic plastic material cast into grooves in the unit.
