Abstract

938,169. Electric selective signalling systems. ALBISWERK ZURICH A.G. May 19, 1961 [May 23, 1960], No. 18370/61. Class 40 (1). In a selective calling system in which the call word comprises two signals of selective lengths preceded by a start signal A1 and followed by an end signal S1, the call word is applied by a receiver demodulator 8, Fig. 1, to a delay 3, a gate 4 and a gate 6, the gates 4 and 6 being interconnected by a delay 5, and the delays are so proportioned that when a call word which they are arranged to recognize arrives the first pulse begins to emerge from delay 3 as the second pulse is applied to gate 4, and the second pulse, having passed gate 4, begins to emerge from delay 6 as the end pulse S1 is applied to gate 6, and hence an alarm device 7 is actuated. The detailed circuit (Fig. 2, not shown) has the feature that it will correctly recognize a call word even if the second signal is slightly late,
