Abstract
937,231. Supply systems for electric fences; converting. E. I. BARDOS, and F. BARDOS. Feb. 9, 1960 [Feb. 10, 1959; Oct. 12, 1959], Nos. 4535/59 and 34446/59. Classes 38 (2) and 38 (4). A transistor or controlled rectifier inverter 44 charging a capacitor 46 for supplying an electric fence or photographic flash tube has a muting circuit comprising a potentiometer R4, R5 charging a low valued capacitor C1 discharging intermittently through a discharge tube N1 into another capacitor which blocks the inverter transistors 44a, 44b through a transistor amplifier X1, X2 and rectifiers D1, D2 when the capacitor 46 is charged. The transistor amplifier may alternatively operate a relay the contacts of which block the transistors 44a, 44b or break the feed to the capacitor 46 or from the battery 41.
