Abstract

937,006. Height measuring apparatus. C. B. MORAN. Nov. 6, 1961, No. 39700/61. Class 106 (2). Height measuring apparatus comprises a " roller-blind " arrangement having a graduated sheet 20 to the outer end of which is secured a foot-plate 23 which acts as a closure for the housing 11 when the sheet is rolled up on to its spring-loaded roller. Ratchet-type locking mechanism may be provided. As shown, the housing has a flat bottom for resting on a table T to which the housing may be clamped (Fig. 4) by means of brackets 30. The apparatus may be suspended for measurement with the subject standing on the foot plate 23.
