[Also in Group XXX] The apparatus of the parent Specification for advancing a conveyer towards a mine face comprising two roof support frames 13, 14 which are movable relatively to one another, both in the longitudinal direction of the conveyer and in a direction towards the face is modified in that frame 13 comprises substantially vertical props 17, 18 and inclined bracing props 19, 20, all of which are pivotally connected to both a base-plate 23 and roof bars 21, 22.
