934,024. Coffee percolators. LANDERS, FRARY & CLARK. March 23, 1962, No. 11182/62. Class 129. A coffee percolator has the cover 16 of the coffee container W formed with a number of diametrically-opposite segments, one pair being imperforate and the other pairs being formed with different numbers of holes through which water passes in various amounts according to whether a previously-made beverage is to be reheated or a strong or weak beverage is to be brewed. Water is circulated by a pump p and is directed to the desired pair of segments by outlets 8, 8<SP>1</SP> in a member 9 secured to a knob 4 having a pointer rotatable over a dial in the lid C to which the cover 16 is secured. The segments 26, 26<SP>1</SP> containing the greatest number of holes are provided with an outer wall 30 so that water directed on to these segments must be discharged on to the coffee; the other segments have no such wall so that a greater or less amount of water flows over the edge of the cover according to the desired strength of the beverage.
