Abstract

933,366. Packages. HERMORION Ltd. March 5, 1962 [March 14,1961; Feb. 24, 1962], No. 8400/62. Class 94(1). A tetrahedron package has a slit in its side walls adjacent an apex 10 that a portion of the walls may be pushed inwards to form a pouring spout. The slit is sealed and the walls strengthened by a label which may have an unsecured area or an underlying tear string to assist removal. The slit edges may be treated to prevent wicking. In one embodiment, the slit 8 extends across a wall 3 and into adjacent walls 1, 2. Score lines 13, 14 extend to the apex 9 from the slit ends and from its midpoint to assist unfolding. In another embodiment, the slit enters two walls only and is obtuse angled in shape, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown). Specification 597,458 is referred to.
