A deodorizing device for footwear consists of a container having basically the shape of a foot and having a perforated wall, the container having a de-odorant or like material which may be in solid form and sealed in the container. As shown, the container of moulded plastic has holes 11, 12 through which the vapour of the deodorant escapes. The part 14 may be in the form of a lid for inserting a new block of deodorant.
