928,653. Fermenting organic waste. PREPARATION INDUSTRIELLE DES COMBUSTIBLES. Oct. 12, 1961 [Oct. 14, 1960], No. 36679/61. Class 111. Sewage sludge and like waste is fed via shoot 9 to conveyer 7 which discharges it into tank 1 via opening 11. Fermentation and disintegration by device 4 discharges broken-up material on to conveyer 7 for repetition of the treatment in tanks 2, 3, &c. When fermentation is complete discharge into bagging hopper 10 completes the treatment. Gases for treatment and heating may be added through openings 15, 16 and 17 while make-up materials can be added through shoot 9.
