Class 79(1) A tractor hydraulic power-lift mechanism having automatic draft control in which thrusts in the upper link against pin 8 operate against a spring 6 to move an arm 42 whereby a hydraulic control valve is moved to restrict the flow of exhaust fluid from a working ram is characterised in that the valve comprises two coaxial, relatively slidable, tubular ported members 29, 30 which are held by a spring 31 against stops 32, 33 in the valve body 28. In this position pressure fluid from the ram 25 has a free passage to exhaust after passing through holes 55 and 57 in a main lift plunger 45 and through ports 35, 36, 37 in the valve. The member 29 may be set to allow a particular exhaust flow and therefore a particular draft, by movement of a hand lever coupled to shaft 39 operating eccentric 38 and the draft is then automatically adjusted in operation by arm 42 moving member 30 to restrict or allow the exhaust flow. A non- return valve 51 passes oil from a continuously acting pump along the path shown by the arrows in Fig. 6. The valve 60 regulates the rate at which the implement is dropped as described in Specification 639,280. A duct 54 affords connection to an auxiliary power cylinder.
