Abstract

927,807. Measuring angles. W. TURNER. Sept. 20, 1961 [Oct. 21, 1960], No. 36159/60. Class 97 (3). A gauge comprises a cylinder 25, or other gauge element having a curved gauging face generated on a predetermined radius about a centre 29, carried at the periphery of a circular table 12 and a cylinder 16 or other gauge element carried by a base 11, the table 12 being rotatable on base 11 about an axis 13 and the centres of cylinders 16, 25 being spaced from axis 13 by the same known distance, the cylinders 16, 25 or other gauge elements being so disposed relative to one another that slip gauges or other linear gauges may be inserted between the curved faces. As shown, hardened bushes 15 are provided at 90 degrees intervals to receive the cylinder 16, and table 12 has two similar gaugecarrying brackets 21, 22 spigoted in a peripheral tee-slot of the table and locked in any position by screws 23, 24.
