Abstract

Cleansing compositions comprise (a) hexachlorophene [2, 21-methylene-bis (3, 4, 6-trichlorophenol)], tetramethylthiuram disulphide and/or one of the bactericidal quaternary ammonium compounds such as benzalle-onium chloride; (b) an oxygen-releasing persalt; (c) an optical bleach (none specified) and (d) a reodorant in the form of a perfumer's concentrate (none specified). The component (b) may be sodium percarbonate or perborate. A nonionic detergent, e.g. an ethylene oxide condensate with an alkyl-phenol, and sodium tripolyphosphate may also be included in the composition.ALSO:A sanitising composition particularly for napkins comprises (a) hexachlorophene [2,21-methylene bis (3,4,6 - trichlorophenol)], tetramethyl thiuram disulphide, and/or one of the bactericidal quaternary ammonium compounds; (b) an oxygen releasing per-salt; (c) an optical bleach; and (d) a re-odorant in the form of a perfumer's concentrate. The component (b) may be sodium percarbonate or perborate. A non-ionic detergent and sodium tripolyphosphate may also be included in the composition.
