Abstract

922,950. Gas filters. VOKES Ltd. Dec. 22, 1961 [Sept. 22, I960], No. 32672/60. Class 8(2). A gas filter panel of the oil-wetted type comprises two preformed metal honeycomb structures 3, 4 arranged in series within an open ended frame 1 with the axes of the cells of one structure being inclined to those of the cells of the other structure whereby the gas flow through the panel is caused to deviate. As shown the axes are inclined towards the centre plane of the panel which is occupied by a spacing frame 5 thus providing drainage for oil. The outer faces of the structures 3, 4 are protected by a grill 6, 7 respectively and the edges are sealed by foam plastic material 2. In a modification the seal 2 is dispensed with and the grilles are bonded to the free faces of the cells.
