Abstract

921,951. Control of motors. M. C. SCHNEIDER. June 26, 1961 [Aug. 26, 1960], No. 22980/61. Class 38 (3). [Also in Group XX] A lens is moved axially in its mount by an electric motor until a part moved therewith cuts off the motor. As shown, an electric motor 9 rotates a tube 5 whereby lenses 3, 3a are axially displaced. Motor 9 is in a detachable housing 10 containing a leaf spring 12, the ends of which each form one pole of two switches with contacts a and b. A battery 11 is connected with a pair of switches 16, 16a and 17, 17a. Closure of switch 16, 16a drives motor 9 in one direction until an arcuate segment 13 on tube 5 opens the contact a. Similarly, closure of switch 17, 17a drives tube 5 in the opposite direction until contact b is opened by a segment 13a. The two segments may be relatively moved to vary the displacement of the lenses.
