The invention of the parent Specification is modified by including a three-stage transistor amplifier between the radiation-sensitive device which, in this case, comprises a scintillation counter and the blocking oscillator to increase the sensitivity of the arrangement, the claims being directed to the feature of completing the current path through the indicator or control circuit by the closing of the normally open contacts associated with the relay on the energization of the latter.
