Abstract

920,528. Joining webs. OY PARAGON A.B. March 17, 1961 [Aug. 19, 1960], No. 9873/61 Class 100 (1). A device for joining webs, e.g. of continuous stationery, comprises a base-plate 1 having locating pins 2, 4 to locate the adjacent webs of stationery in abutting relationship, a carriage 13 movable across the abutting ends of the webs and carrying a reel 15 of adhesive tape and a roller 18 to unwind and press the tape against the abutting ends of the webs to join the ends together. A perforating wheel 19 perforates the tape after application to the webs, the tape being cut from the reel by a blade 26.
