Abstract

920,181. Feather pluckers. W. PEARSON. Sept. 15, 1961 [Oct. 4, 1960], No. 33991/60. Class 28 (2). A feather plucking finger 1 of resilient material (rubber, possibly synthetic), for attachment to a rotary drum, not shown, is of circular cross-section and is formed with longitudinal grooves or ridges 6. The longitidunal grooves 6 may be crossed by spiral grooves or ridges (Fig. 3, not shown). The finger 1 may be hollow (Fig. 2, not shown), and is preferably formed with flanges 2, 3 separated by a groove 4 to enable the finger to be mounted on the rotary drum.
