[Also in Groups V and XXVIII] A multi-layer plastic foil tube formed by extrusion has adjacent layers bonded by the introduction between the tubular layers during extrusion of reactive gas e.g. oxygen, ozone or fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine, or a gaseous polymerizing substance e.g. styrene. A layer of polyethylene may be bonded to a second layer, over polyamide, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, or polycarbonate.
