Abstract
919,138. Variable focal length lens mounts. KAMERAUND KINOWERKE DRESDEN VEB. Jan. 11, 1961, No. 1181/61. Class 97 (1). A variable focal length lens mount contains two relatively movable lens components each of which supports diametrically opposed bearing pins 3a, 3b, which are movable in slots in the lens housing, these slots extending parallel to the optical axis. The pins 3a, 3b project into slots 7, 8 respectively, in members 6 which are disposed on either side of the lens housing and are pivoted on spindles 5 extending perpendicularly to the optical axis. Parallel to these spindles 5 is a further spindle 9 which carrier at each end thereof a member 11 having grooves 12a, 12b, which are also engaged by the pins 3a, 3b, respectively. By operating a lever, spindle 9 is rotated so as to effect via the grooves in the members 11 and the slots in the members 6 relative movements of the two components so as to vary the equivalent focal length of the objective.
