Abstract
Compounds of the general formula:- <FORM:0919061/IV (b)/1> in which R represents a substituted or an unsubstituted alkyl radical containing at least two carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl radical or a heterocyclic radical, and X represents a simple chemical bond, an oxygen atom or an -NH- group, and in which the benzene nucleus in the above general formula may be further substituted (e.g. by amnio) are prepared by reacting an appropriate amino benztriazole with butyrolactone, acetoacetic ester, a suitable acid chloride, fatty acid ester, chloroformic acid ester, isocyanate or diisocyanate. In examples, R is ethyl, phenyl, ethoxyphenyl, chlorophenyl, g -hydroxypropyl, chloroalkyl, acetylmethyl, naphthyl, benztriazolyl ureido hexyl, 4-pyridyl, and 1,1-dioxidotetrahydrothienyl-(3).
