Abstract

919,014. Waste plugs. ROBERTS, S. P., and BEXSON, F. W. March 27, 1961 [April 5, 1960], No. 11913/60. Class 26. A waste plug 10 for a lavatory basin or sink has a depending shank 11 having at its lower end a deformable spring- like member 13 which is compressed when it is inserted through a grating 15 of a waste unit 14 and then expands to prevent detachment of the plug 10. The member 13 may be spring wire, of substantially triangular shape, received in a transverse drilling 12 in the shank as shown. Guides 17 are formed in the shank 11 to slide in slots in the grating 15 to hold it, when it is rotated, so that the plug 10 is clear of the grating 15.
