722,340. Bolt-hole bushes. REES, T. A. March 9, 1953 [March 14, 1952], No. 6659/52. Class 89 (1). A wall bolt device comprises a bolt C with conical head G and a sleeve H having slits J and teeth F at its end adjacent head G, and dogs D at its other end for engagement by a wrench K. After positioning the device in a hole, the wrench is turned and nut B tightened on the bolt to draw the head G into the sleeve which is thus expanded and caused to cut a conical recess in the wall. When the slotted end of the sleeve is completely expanded to support the bolt head, the wrench is removed. A spring E urges a washer A against a shoulder on the wrench to determine the initial depth of insertion of the device into the hole.
