918,604. Capacitors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Feb. 17, 1961 [Feb. 18, 1960], No. 5949/61. Addition to 918,603. Class 37. [Also in Group XIX] The matrix arrangement of capacitors described in the parent Specification is modified by the provision of means for keeping the electrodes of the capacitors at a uniform distance. Electrodes 2 are fixed to an insulated base-plate 1 and covered by insulating material 3 of suitable dielectric constant. A strip 5 bearing intermediate electrodes as described in the parent Specification is inserted at right-angles to the fixed electrodes 2. A crimped spring ribbon 6 presses the intermediate electrodes against the insulating material 3. In a modification, Fig. 2, each intermediate electrode 8 is made of springy strip with ends 9, 9<SP>1</SP> which pass through openings 10, 10<SP>1</SP> and engage a stop 11.
