Abstract

917,668. Roller conveyers. SVENSKA AEROPLAN A.B. Feb. 6, 1961 [Feb. 5, 1960], No. 4346/61. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXXII] A hand truck formed of frames 2 (Fig. 2) hinged together and carrying rollers 5 can be inverted as shown to form a roller way. The adjacent frames are pivoted together by hinges 7, 8 joined by removable coupling rods 6. The hinge members 8 are bell-mouthed as shown in Fig. 3 to provide flexibility, which is assisted by resilience in the hinge pins 6. The hinge pins may be secured in place by engaging their bentover ends 10 in depressions 11 in the frames 2. When not in use the device can be rolled up with the rollers inside or outside. More than one roller may be provided on each frame 2, and the rollers may be provided side-by-side or one behind the other. The hinges shown may be replaced by ball joints or by vertical hinges.
