915,725. Compressors. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 19, 1961 [Sept. 27, 1960], No. 33160/60. Class 8(1). An hermetically sealed compressor comprises a motor-compressor unit, consisting of a motor A and compressor B, resiliently suspended within a cylindrical sealed casing 2 by two coil springs 4 and supported against longitudinal movement and rotation by an axially-directed coil spring 5 attached to the casing at 8. A protective strap 9 is secured to the perimeter of the unit, and the unit carries buffer pins 10 and 12 which coact with apertures in brackets 11, 13 respectively mounted on each end wall of the casing.
