915,137. Garment pockets. CAMPION, H. J. July 28, 1961, No. 19498/60. Class 141. A safety device for automatically closing the mouth of a pocket comprises two resilient crescent-shaped bands A<1>, A<2> hinged together at their ends B and provided with means for fixing to the mouth of a pocket. The inner band A<2> is shorter than the band A<1> so that after the bands have been forced apart they will automatically snap together again. The bands of spring metal, spring plastic, &c. may have pairs of perforations C for stitching or stapling the device to the pocket. Alternatively, the bands may be wholly or partly covered with fabric G which is subsequently stitched to the pocket. The fabric G may have a flap H extending over the upper edge of the device to serve as an additional obstacle impeding entry into the pocket.
