Abstract
914,589. Bracelets. RODI & WIENENBERGER A.G. March 17, 1961 [March 19, 1960], No. 9776/61. Class 43. A bracelet comprises two layers of openended hollow members 3 and 4 arranged in staggered relationship and having connecting members 8<1> having one limb 10 in a member 4 and a bifurcated limb in a member 3, the arms 11<1>, 11<11> of the bifurcated limb engage opposite sides of a leaf spring 15 in the member, the limbs being offset and the ends bent inwards slightly to prestress the limbs, means being provided to retain the connecting members in the hollow members. The connecting members have a U-shape and are made of resilient material. The ends 13 are chamfered, and the limb 10 has a recess 14, which engages a bent-over tongue on the end of the member 4 to retain the connecting member in the member and to bias the members to contracted position. Alternatively, an upper and lower member is made as one piece and a blade spring 25<1> extends diagonally in both members. The connecting member has a detent 24 in the limb 10<1> which contacts the spring with the detent engaging in a recess 26 in the spring. The bifurcated limb engages a spring in an adjacent member. The two recesses in each spring may be on opposite sides of the spring in which case the connecting member at one end is inverted with respect to the connecting member at the other end.
