913,890. Drying tower-discharging devices. KONSTRUKTIONS - UND INGENIEURBURO CHEMIE VEB. Oct. 12, 1961, No. 36681/61. Class 34 (2). A drying tower comprises a discharging device formed of sheet metal segments, each with a discharge channel extending along one side and a vibrator, the segments being inclined towards their respective channels and towards a discharge outlet of the tower and arranged in overlapping relationship with one another to provide openings therebetween for the passage of a drying gas. A discharging device in a drying tower comprises overlapping segments 2 to form a circular assembly, each segment having a discharge channel 3 extending along one side and a vibrator (not shown). The segments are inclined towards their respective channels and towards a discharge well 7 in the centre of the assembly, and the overlapping arrangement of the segments allows drying gas to be introduced into the tower from below the assembly over the whole crosssectional area of the tower.
