[Also in Groups XXI and XXXIII] A device for supplying a submarine vessel 1 with electrical energy and breathable air comprises a composite cable 11 incorporating a pipe for the air supply and insulated conductors for supplying electrical energy serving to propel the vessel and to operate the various auxiliary apparatus and tools carried by said vessel, a buoy 22 floating on the surface of the water and anchored on the bottom, rotary water-tight members 41, 42 rotatable about a vertical axis 40 for coupling the cable 11 to the buoy and thereby permitting operation of the vessel 1 all round the buoy, and means for supplying to said composite cable within the buoy 22 the said electrical energy and breathable air, e.g. via a composite cable 31 connected to a shore installation 33.
