A ship's fender comprises a body 1 which is circular in at least one aspect, a casing 5 adapted to be secured to extend inwardly of a ship's side plating and housing resilient means (e.g. a volute spring 3) whereon the body is seated, and a frame 7 retaining the body so as to be rotatable with a substantial segment 10 projecting outwardly from the frame which is securable to the plating or casing (e.g. by screws 17).
