910,549. Valves; hydraulic apparatus. PARKER HANNIFIN CORPORATION. April 7, 1961, No. 12607/61. Addition to 864,499. Classes 69 (2) and 135. The invention relates to a control valve as described in the parent Specification, but the first passage 81, and the outlet port 24a, have means for selectively opening and closing them, e.g. screw plugs 82, 25a, for establishing a connection between the common exhaust chamber 24 and either the by-pass passage 29 or the housing exterior. Port 83 is always open and leads to sump 19 when one control valve unit is used alone or as the last in a series, or leads supply pressure at 16 in the first unit A via by-pass passages 30, 29 to the inlet chamber 15 of the second unit B. The lowermost land of the valve to bores 12 controlling the single-acting motor 65 or 86 is shortened so as never to close the by-pass passage.
