Abstract
908,143. Magnetic pulse storage apparatus. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 24, 1959 [Nov. 28, 1958], No. 38508/58. Class 40 (9). A magnetic core store comprising a stack of matrix planes M1, M2 ... has row conductors R1- R4 individual to each plane and column conductors C1-C4 respectively connected in series through all the planes, each column conductor threading the respective cores in a plane being connected to a compensating return conductor D1-D4 which passes outside the cores, the column and return conductors together forming loop circuits which tend to neutralize the induction of voltage between the conductors. As shown in Fig. 1, the row and column conductors may be printed on insulated matrix plates which support ferrite cores at each conductor intersection, the matrix plates being stacked in support rods SR with spacers SP. A simplified circuit diagram is shown in Fig. 2 in which a further plate supports column amplifiers AMP1 -AMP4. A modification is shown in Fig. 4 in which the row conductors also have associated with compensating return conductors E1- E4. Specification 903,094 is referred to.
